The Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) is a growing system that constantly recirculates a stream of nutrient rich water through food grade PVC for growing leaf crops such as lettuces and smaller herbs. The NFT channel system uses water very efficiently because it is recirculates the water. A continuous stream of water flows through the food grade PVC channels and returns to a tank that is usually buried underground, often under the growing beds.
